Grillz – Popular. Trendy. Shiny. A sure way to upgrade your smile. In dentistry, they are also known as fronts, are dental jewellery which are worn over the teeth to enhance one’s dental aesthetics. They are a cosmetic feature and not a treatment consideration for any dental problem. Keep reading,  get all the facts first to make sure this bling is for you.

Quick history – Grillz were initially worn by Hip Hop artists from America in the early 1980s, and have become a popular fashion and beauty statement over the years. We are here for the culture!

As part of our cosmetic offerings at Dr Bee Inc, and in collaboration with our favorite grillz vendor – GSM Custom Grillz – we create made-to-order, customized dental accessories in a range of custom styles and premium finishes.

We offer a range of custom removable grillz which can be designed in dental gold/silver and precious metals to give you 9/18/24 carat white, yellow or rose gold.

Quick notes – Dental grillz are totally cosmetic so medical aid HAS NEVER AND WILL NEVER cover any of the costs incurred. We know, sad!

Good news though – you can never have too many sets. Just like time pieces, a collection is also in order 😊

In other news – we do not do ‘permanent’ grillz – it is our priority to maintain optimal natural tooth health while giving you the coolest mouth piece!

Some great and not-so-great facts about dental grillz
  1. The not-so-great news: Grillz can cause some problems with your oral health and hygiene. Wearing grillz may increase the risk of tooth decay, gum disease, abrasions, gingivitis, chipping of your teeth, and in some, allergies to the jewellery.

The great news : This is all preventable if you follow our care instructions and don’t miss your dental visits. And just in case you’re stressed, we have never seen anyone with allergies to our metals so that’s super rare.
